Elizabeth River Trail Cleanup

Join us Saturday May 4th as we take a ride and cleanup our community in collaboration with Old Dominion University & Norfolk Southern. We will meet at the Lambert’s Point Micro Farm (map below) from 10-11:00am at our Adopt a Spot cleanup location located at 1400 W 25th St, Norfolk, VA 23508 where we will give back to our environment by picking up litter and trash on the Trail, Micro Farm and neighborhood. Please wear closed toe shoes, pants and bring water (gloves and trash bags are provided). On street parking is limited and we encourage you to #gobybike!

Want to get your wheels turning before the cleanup? Meet at East Coast Bicycle on 1910 Colley Ave for the Cindy Lou Coffee Shop Ride starting at 9am.

 

ERT Norfolk Trail Adopt A Spot cleanup

Elizabeth River Trail cleanup & Adopt A Spot volunteer day with #ecoART workshop at the Weyanoke Bird Sanctuary starting at 9am. After the team briefing we will divide into two groups with one group working on the northbound trail section and the other heading southbound from the Bird Sanctuary. Please wear your own work clothes & boots; gloves, trash bags, vests and #ecoART equipment will be supplied.

Activities include: litter cleanup, beautification, tree Trail ID, way-finding and #ecoART

When: 9am Meeting and briefing 11am Debrief and departure

The Ecocycling Adopt-a-Spot is an enjoyable and educational part of our LEAP Project (Leadership & Environmental Ambassador Program) that gives local community members the opportunity to contribute to a healthier and cleaner environment. It engages volunteers (individuals, community groups, business groups) to join in the effort to clean up our green spaces. Our main location is located in Norfolk, Virginia ( 36.890096,-76.278504 )
