Traffic Skills 101 “Smart Cycling” (TS101) is a fast-paced class that will give you the confidence to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. You will learn how to conduct bicycle safety checks, fix a flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques. Instruction will be both in the classroom and outside on a practice course and in traffic on local roads.  This class is for adults and children above age fourteen.

Cost: $30 per student.

The Ecocycling Adopt-a-Spot is an enjoyable and educational part of our LEAP Project (Leadership & Environmental Ambassador Program) that gives local community members the opportunity to contribute to a healthier and cleaner environment. It engages volunteers (individuals, community groups, business groups) to join in the effort to clean up our green spaces. Our main location is located in Norfolk, Virginia ( 36.890096,-76.278504 )

The Road to Richmond General Assembly “Advocacy in Action” 2016

WILL YOU JOIN US?

 

Objective: Reach Richmond before Monday January 25th to meet with HRPTA team and advocate with legislators for better and more equitable local, regional and statewide transportation policies.

We will meet at the Hampton Transfer Station Saturday morning and ride to Richmond with one over night stay in the Williamsburg/Jamestown area (Eco Discovery Park).  Anticipated arrival in Richmond is scheduled for Sunday evening (Group/individual accommodations booked as needed). Monday we will be meeting with legislators to advocate for more equitable laws like the Vulnerable Road User and improved funding for multi modal infrastructure like bicycle lanes, paths and more.
